Today the student council traveled to Sacred Heart High School in Grand Forks. We talked with North West Division schools from around the area, and discussed how to make our school even better and bring in new ideas.
Our speaker was Nicole LaFleur, who talked to us about leadership and her origin story of how she came to be the leader she is today. The theme of this Summit was “Your Leadership Origin Story”

Magelssen Elementary had special guest, Bill Grommesh, from HOPE Inc. Adaptive Sports & Recreation on Tuesday, October 22. On Wednesday, October 23rd, the Fosston High School Student Council successfully organized their Annual Fall Blood Drive. The event attracted a generous response from students, staff, and community members, resulting in a total of 27 successful donations.
The check-in booth was efficiently managed by student council members, supervised by their advisor, Ellen Bolduc. Vitalant's excellent team, out of Fargo, North Dakota, facilitated a calm and compassionate atmosphere for donors, contributing to the lifesaving impact of the event.
Karen Graham of the Fosston Civic Center has been a steadfast supporter of this important initiative, allowing the use of the civic center gym for the blood drive for many years. The collaboration between donors, community members, the student council, and the Vitalant team is essential to the success of this event.
We extend our heartfelt gratitude to everyone who participated in the 2024 Fall Blood Drive. Below are some photos capturing the spirit of the event.

Then they demonstrated their coding skills using the Droneblocks app to program missions for their drones to complete. With each line of code, they watched as their drones came to life by performing intricate maneuvers.
